Does your insurance company care about the dentistry you receive?
The answer is NO.
Both Dr. Roger and Dr. Pamela Schmidt are aware of our patients' concerns when it comes to being an "out of network" provider. They have carefully and thoughtfully considered becoming "in network" providers and have chosen to remain "out of network". Here are the reasons why.
First and foremost is the personal care and customized dentistry you have come to expect and receive from our office. "In network" providers must provide treatment dictated by the insurance company.
The restorations created here at our office are custom color matched and are fabricated using precious metals and high quality porcelain. "In network" dentists are forced to use cheaper, poor quality materials such as nickel in their porcelain fused to metal crowns. They routinely place amalgam or silver fillings.
We invest in community using local labs and labs across the United States who have proven to be expert in their field. Our long time ceramist has personally invested in continuing education courses with our office so we can consistantly deliver high quality products. "In network" dentists must choose labs dictated by price. They may or may not be in the United States.
By remaining "out of network", we have been able to hire and retain exceptionally talented and educated staff. The average length of service among our team of 10 employees is 14 years. "In network" providers typically have over-worked, under-paid, rushed employees who find it difficult to provide quality care. Their offices have a high turn-over rate not only among staff, but doctors as well.
We have found that patients who come to us from "big box store" dental providers have received short term "repair" dentistry. "In network" can mean insurance dictates lower quality treatment. Drs. Roger and Pamela Schmidt will not compromise your care.
"Out of Network" does not mean you cannot receive care at our office. We work with and submit to ALL insurance carriers. To find out what "out of network" means for you, call your insurance carrier and have them explain your "out of network" benefits to you. If you have questions, please call our office. Michelle or Tina would be happy to help you understand your benefits.
